What: Join us for a quiet evening of tea and reading at The Royal Tea Room. Bring your own book, settle in with a cup of your favorite tea, and enjoy a peaceful hour of uninterrupted reading in good company. No assigned books, no discussion required—just the comfort of a cozy space, shared silence, and the joy of getting lost in a good story.

Plus! This month we've added a book swap to our event! Bring a book, or take a book and find your new favorite read! 

Come early to order treats and pick your reading spot or stay after to chat about what you're reading—it's all up to you. Registration encouraged. Quiet starts at 6:45.

What: A night of spells, sips, and a little peek into the beyond. Grab your broomsticks and your best witchy wear—you're invited to an evening steeped in magic! Join us for a spirited night of seasonal bites, bottomless tea, and personal tarot readings that are as mysterious as they are fun.

Whether you're looking to unlock your future or just enjoy a fabulously festive night out, our Witches Tea & Tarot event is the perfect potion. Because let’s be honest—what’s better than sipping tea while the universe spills the tea? 

Tarot readings are short and sweet, and readings will be self-paced throughout the evening. We recommend grabbing your spot in the queue early—all readings must be completed by 9:00 PM sharp, when the spell breaks and the tearoom closes its doors to the other side.

Cost: $59.00 – Includes welcome beverage, 4-course themed afternoon tea, unlimited pours of 3 pre-selected teas, and tarot reading. The 4-course afternoon tea will include a seasonal salad, tea savories, scone and seasonal treats.

Enjoy a spellbinding welcome potion, bottomless tea, magical tea sandwiches, a scone to die for, and devilishly delicious desserts. Grab your coven and reserve your spot before this enchanted afternoon vanishes into thin air! 

Cost: $39.00 per guest - your ticket to a spellbound afternoon! Includes a bewitching welcome potion, bottomless pours of three magical teas, a three-course feast with three savory spell-casting sandwiches, a seasonal scone with all the fixings, and two wickedly sweet desserts.

What: Join us at The Royal Tea Room for our Murder Mystery Dinner — a wickedly fun evening of high tea, low motives, and scandal in satin.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Isabella “Bella” Fontana and Vincent “Vinny” DeLuca — but something sinister is simmering just beneath the surface of this picture-perfect day. As tea is poured and secrets spill, someone won’t make it to dessert…

Guests will enjoy a themed multi-course tea service, open non-alcoholic bar, signature blends, and a front-row seat to a murder most foul. Come dressed in your best wedding guest attire and bring your sharpest instincts — because everyone’s a suspect.

Cost: $80.00 per person – Includes a non-alcoholic welcome beverage, passed hors d’oeuvres, a three-course themed afternoon tea, bottomless pours of three curated teas, access to our open non-alcoholic bar, and—naturally—wedding cake to die for. 

Ages: This event is intended for guests 18 and older. This immersive experience features a chilling tale of love, betrayal, and murder. Guests should be prepared for theatrical surprises and unexpected twists woven throughout the evening. This is a guest-participation event — attendees may be asked to interact with actors, uncover clues, and help piece together the mystery before the night is through.

What: Step into the shadows of Illinois history for a haunted evening at The Royal Tea Room. Enjoy candlelit tea service while we recount the chilling stories of the state’s most famous haunts—from the legendary Resurrection Mary to eerie tales of haunted theaters, asylums, and historic mansions. Whether you're a believer or a skeptic, you’ll leave with goosebumps...and a fright or two...

Disclaimer: This event includes immersive elements designed to enhance the haunted atmosphere. Guests may experience sudden sounds, startling moments, or unexpected encounters throughout the evening. While all frightful fun is in good spirits, those sensitive to jump scares or theatrical surprises should take caution. 

Cost:  $60.00 per person – Includes a devilishly good 3-course themed afternoon tea, bottomless pours of three wickedly brewed teas, and a side of spine-tingling frights—on the house. 

Ages: Intended for brave souls aged 16 and up. Parental discretion is advised. This evening will delve into chilling tales of death, restless spirits, haunted legends, and unexpected frights that may linger long after the last sip of tea.
