 There are many versions of English Breakfast tea. Harney & Sons has an ancient pedigree. Researchers have traced its heritage back to the black tea the English drank regularly in the 1800's. It is, simply, China Black 100% Keemun.

 This tea recalls a time when the teas came from Assam, not Africa, and were small broken leaves, not CTC pellets. So this is a simple tea that can handle milk and sugar well. 100% Assam.

This tea is perhaps the most famous tea in the world, originally inspired by the British Prime Minister, Earl Grey. There are as many different versions of Earl Grey as there are tea companies. This blend uses tea from India and China, blended with natural oil of bergamot.

 The lemony aroma of bergamot from Italy comes through clearly. 

Flavor:

 Tower of London Blend is reminiscent of Elizabethan preserves, flavorful and tempting. Stirred with Chinese black teas with pieces of dried stone fruit, then finish the blend with oil of bergamot and honey flavor

History: The Tower of London, known officially as His Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London, was founded toward the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest, and   built as a secure fortress and a symbol of royal power. The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078.  The Tower of London stands as a testament to manual craftsmanship, built with enduring Kentish ragstones quarried in England.

The Crown Jewels are preserved at the Tower of London.

The Kaburagi family has sold to Americans for over 110 years. They are well known in Tokyo and throughout Japan as a pre-eminent supplier of tea. They supply this pleasant Sencha from central Shizuoka. It is a pleasant and approachable green tea.
